Join us on July 23rd for Clear the Shelters!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve once again teamed with NBC 4 New York/WNBC and Telemundo 47 NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations for the second annual Clear the Shelters event! During this special one day event, we will offer the public no cost or reduced fee adoptions (with the exception of some animals who will not be eligible) on Saturday, July 23rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters initiative that seeks to find new homes for homeless pets.

This year’s Clear the Shelters event comes after last year’s highly successful inaugural effort, which resulted in nearly 20,000 pets finding new homes through an unprecedented partnership between the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations and hundreds of animal shelters located all across the country.

All animals adopted through the SPCA are examined by a Veterinarian, spayed and neutered, up to date on all vaccines (age appropriate) and microchipped. Last year the SPCA found homes for more than 1,500 dogs and cats, many of whom would have been euthanized due to lack of space in other shelters.

During this special event, there will be over 100 animals hoping to find new homes at the shelter, which is located at 590 North State Road in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Potential adopters are encouraged to submit an application, which can be found here to the SPCA in advance by. You can also v iew some of the adoptable animals that will potentially be available during the event. Walk-ins are welcome that day as well but applicants should read the SPCA’s adoption process and requirements online in advance. For further details please email Lisa@spca914.org.
